Roll and Stretch to Bring Ease to the Body and Mind
 
 
Wednesday, July 21st  7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
 
In this 90-minute workshop we will use the RAD Roller tools to work out tension and tightness from the muscles and fascia, the tissue surrounding the muscle fibers. We will work our way up from the feet to the head for a full body experience. Stretches and mobility movements will be incorporated to keep track of our progress.
 
Fascia is a thin casing of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every internal body component including your organs, nerves, and muscles. Fascia has as many nerve connections as skin and tightens up when stressed. It is made up of many layers and contains a liquid called hyaluronan, which helps it glide move and stretch. When the fascia dries up and tightens, it can limit mobility and cause painful knots.
 
Fascia adhesions can be caused by limited physical activity, repetitive movement in one area, or an injury. Using RAD roller tools, we can work to improve joint range of motion, improve posture, improve mobility and quality of movement, help with recovery time, increase circulation and tissue hydration, and most importantly relieve pain.
