Ashtanga + Meditation Hour

This practice is inspired by Richard Freeman & Mary Taylor and their interpretation of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system of yoga asana. We will practice surya namaskar, standing postures and bits of the primary and second series with variations to make the practice more accessible. This practice emphasizes breath, gaze and bandha and the instruction is kept simple. Each week will differ slightly but if you come often you will gain a familiarity with the sequence, making asana a more meditative experience. Optional 10-min sitting meditation at the end.
