The root of movement Yoga is Hatha.  Ancient texts describe thousands of postures including descriptions of how these poses effect our bodies, energy, and minds.  The effortful movements during this practice may include the use of tools and supports as well as directed breath applied with the intention of purifying the physical body both outside and in.
