Teaching Meditation

Come for a weekend immersion to learn how optimally to guide your students in meditation. In this training, we will focus on four foundational techniques that have been taught for thousands of years and studied carefully with contemplative neuroscience. We will cover best practices for teaching them, specific obstacles and antidotes to help make them accessible to everyone. 

Each technique can make a profound addition to your yoga classes or even be presented together as a stand alone practice. 

  • Mindfulness of Breathing (Ānapānasmṛti)
  • Insight (Vipaśyanā)
  • Loving-kindness (Maitrī)
  • Inquiry (Vicāra)

To provide an optimal space for practice, we will cover 4 kinds of meditation postures:
  • The 8-point Posture of Vairocana
  • Šavāsana
  • Ṭāḍāsana
  • Walking or Moving
